“We are better at what we do for your child. Our competitor is very good at what they do. But we approach your child’s overall developmental process with a much greater commitment to getting he/she to reach their maximum potential quickly, easily, safely, and more enjoyably than our competitors do. We work harder and are more passionate about ensuring your child’s success.“

Vince Perri began playing tennis at the age of 6, and competed in local USTA tournaments in the 10 and under division. He played high school tennis at Christopher Columbus. During his high school years, Vince trained with former ATP tour pro and former Haitian Davis Cup captain Ruben Lamothe. He also competed in local and state USTA tournaments where he was ranked in the top 150 in the state of Florida.
After high school, Vince received a college scholarship to play for Slippery Rock University in Pennsylvania. During his time at the Rock, he played in the number one position. After that, he came back down to Miami to attend Florida International University, where he would receive his under-graduate degree with a Bachelor’s of Science in Sport Management.
While Vince was in college he began teaching tennis in his spare time. He received his USPTA (United States Professional Tennis Association) certification at the age of 18. By the time he was 20 years old, he became the youngest Tennis Director of the Miami International Tennis Academy in Tamiami Park, where he ran a successful junior and adult tennis program. After teaching and managing at MITA for 3 years, he moved on to be one of the teaching professionals at the South Dade YMCA. After another three years and a change in occupation, he found himself back at Tamiami Park. He worked his way back up to the tennis director position from 2010-2012. During these two years as Director of the Tamiami Tennis Center, Vince turned around the tennis program. Tamiami’s junior tennis program doubled in attendance in just one year. The summer tennis camp went from 32 attendees in 2010, to over 71 by 2011.
In 2012, Vince finally got his opportunity to run his own show. He created the entire Junior Development Program that META offers. META’s junior program is the only program to include monthly testing, and different rankings for the children to achieve. At the start of 2015, Vince was finally able to put together META’s own Teaching Philosophy. This philosophy includes a mixture of stroke versatility and Spanish style movement on the tennis court. He truly believes that with this mix, all of META’s athletes can become great.
Vince strongly believes in continuing education, and is never ending mission to better himself as a teaching professional. Vince is a USPTA and PTR professional. He is also Mental Toughness Specialist, receiving his certification at the Human Performance Institute in Orlando, FL.. Vince also received his certification in the Spanish Tennis Teaching System from the Registro Profesional De Tenis (RPT). Lastly, just two years ago he became Etcheberry Certified in the strength, conditioning, and movement of tennis.
He has an extreme passion for sports and the game of tennis, and has no greater joy in life than to be called a teaching professional. There are not many more people out there to be as passionate as he is about his occupation.

What students are saying..
As a lifelong tennis player, I am excited to say META is an amazing tennis academy. Their coaches are excellent and motivating. Both of my younger sisters also play tennis at META and always count down the days until they can be back on the courts. What I like best about META is how prepared they are to teach a beginner’s class for any age and also give a challenging and engaging class for more advanced players. I will definitely be coming back.
Miami Elite Tennis Academy was a great experience! I learned a lot of the fundamentals of tennis as well as match place strategy and a game winning attitude. I strongly recommend Coach Vince and his team of professional tennis instructors.
What schools are saying…
Great coaching, and amazing courts.
You guys rock, keep up the great work you are doing for tennis!
